The well-known and much-loved actor Sotiraq Bratko has a birthday today.

Born in Korça on December 8, 1951, today the great actor of Albanian cinema celebrates his 73rd birthday.

He is known for his many roles in Albanian films, where he is mostly remembered for the role he played in the film "Shoqja nga feshti" so loved by the public as "Tirka".

Sotiraq Bratko will be remembered as a prominent actor in the Albanian theater and cinematography for which he contributed greatly to the development of Albanian art and culture.

Some of his main films and roles are: "Brazdat" in the role of Skenderi (1973), "The Face" in the role of a factory worker (1976), "Ladies from the city" as Tirka (1976), "Flag in the Wave" in the role of the mechanic Vaso (1977), "The Bride and Curfew" in the role of Petri (1978), "Freedom and death" in the role of Latif Aga (1979).

For his professional achievements and for the endless emotions he gave to the art-loving public, Sotiraq Bratko was decorated in 2022 with the title "Grand Master". /CNA
