The US Embassy in Tirana has congratulated all Muslim believers on Eid al-Fitr. 

"The US Embassy in Tirana warmly congratulates all those celebrating Eid al-Fitr today. Marking the end of Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr is a holiday rooted in thanksgiving, kindness and giving, brought about through prayer and acts of charity. May peace and health be with you all those who celebrate on this special day," reads a post on the embassy's social networks. 

Muslim believers prayed this morning in Skënderbej Square after the end of the month of Ramadan. Before the day of Eid, Muslims distribute alms, show solidarity with the poor, so as to celebrate this holiday together.

Allah the Almighty legislated at the end of the month of Ramadan the holiday of Fitr Bayram, joy for Muslims just as he legislated the holiday of Kurban Bayram on the tenth day of the month of Dhul-Hijjah. The Eid holiday is manifested by praying the Eid prayer.

The Eid prayer is a wajib obligatory obligation for every Muslim. Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, has attached special importance to it by ordering Muslims to pray this prayer./  CNA
