The Chargé d'Affaires of the United States in Tirana, David Wisner, together with the President Bajram Begaj, the Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Arben Kingji were present at an activity in Zall Herr, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Albania's membership in NATO.

In his speech, Wisner said that NATO will continue to lead the way to a safer and more hopeful world.

"We celebrate 15 years as Allies in NATO. Stronger and more united than ever. The event reaffirmed our shared commitment to peace, freedom and security."

Echoing the words of President George W. Bush, Wisner emphasized the Alliance's enduring power:

"The enduring strength of the NATO alliance is a testament to the enduring power of freedom, this Alliance will lead the way to a safer and more hopeful world.

I hope your children always honor the struggles you faced. May the stories of Albania be a light for those who remain in the darkness of tyranny. And I hope your example will help them to a brighter day.”/ CNA
