Adriana Kalaja, in a statement to the media, has asked SPAK to investigate the Veliaj-Qato-Tusha file regarding the DP's denunciation of the "Muslim Keta" palace.

"In April 2023, we denounced the tender for the demolition of a building on Rruga 'Myslym Keta' in Kombinat. With the same method as at Teatri, Unaza e Re, Shkozë, 5 Maji and elsewhere, with the support of the Police, not the state, but of the authorities, after cutting off water and lights to the residents in the middle of the night, the palace was demolished.

You know who did it? The company '5D' of Erion Veliaj and his directors. Mariglen Qato was in charge of the police force, more violent than them. For reasons of his own pocket, because the demolition money would go to the accounts of '5D', the company where he was a partner and his boss Veliaj the main shareholder.

The criminal offenses for which we reported a year ago the highest officials of the municipality, from the mayor Veliaj, the vice mayor Mazniku together with 30 directors, from Taulant Tusha to Mariglen Qato, both of whom have already been arrested by SPAK, are abuse of office, falsification of documents, exercise of illegal influence, cleaning of proceeds of criminal offenses, etc.

Although, according to the criminal procedural law, this case should have been investigated by the SPAK, according to the following letter Dumani passes the competence to the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana.

Given the conditions when all the subjects are connected to the abuses of the company '5D', we ask the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana to send this file to SPAK and merge it with that of '5D'.

Likewise, based on the large number of people involved in this criminal offense, we have raised reasonable suspicions that we are in front of a Structured Criminal Group under the direction of Erion Veliajt.

Based on the facts and evidence that are evident at the SPAK, we request the arrest of Veliaj as soon as possible, as a serious risk for the destruction and manipulation of evidence.

We will not stop until all those who have abused taxes and public money are brought before the law.

To stop the 'hemorrhaging' of abuses and thefts, to uproot professional thieves from the offices of the municipality, to take back the city in hand, join the protest on Thursday 11th April at 11.00 in front of the city hall!
