Live view/ The eclipse of the Sun is happening, the earth "plunges" into darkness

For four and a half minutes the earth is darkened due to the eclipse of the Sun.

Millions of people in North America have experienced the solar eclipse.

The darkness of the eclipse first touched the Earth's surface in the Pacific Ocean and then headed towards Mexico, passing through 13 US states and ending in Canada.

This phenomenon has been reported by foreign media, but also by NASA itself. The eclipse was visible on the west coast of Ireland.
