A few days before the closing of registrations at the University of Korça, the highest interest remains for the programs that offer more guarantees in the labor market.

The three programs of the Faculty of Agriculture, which are also a national priority, have filled the quotas, while Nursing and Physical Education continue to be preferred for graduates.

Dhimitër Bello, rector of "Fan Noli" University spoke about the number of registrations made so far.

"We are still in the second round. We hope the registrations go well. 2 year programs have suffered a decline. But I believe these will be filled in the supplementary rounds," said Dhimitër Bello.

The low interest of graduates is leading to the suspension of three programs, where philosophy-sociology, economics and business and trade have no registered students. There are also few students in the mathematics-physics programs.

"In the priority programs, all are good, except for physics and mathematics, which are difficult programs. There are economic or philosophy-sociology programs that we have not registered. It may be proposed that some programs be exempted. Philosophy-Sociology, Economics and Business in commerce can be closed. A proposal will be made by the academic senate," Dhimitër Bello said.

Registrations for this academic year remain at the same numbers as last year, while there were fewer interested in the 2-year programs.

The University of Korça offers 57 study programs and has about 3 thousand students./ CNA
