The President of PBDNJ, Vangjel Dule, in a statement to the media, has denounced violations related to the 2023 census that is being developed.

Dule asked the citizens to insist on declaring their religious affiliation and mother tongue if it is their will.

He also called on INSTAT to intervene with the registrar to save the process to avoid negative aspects so that the 2023 census is not a failure in terms of the registration of ethnic and religious communities in the country.

"There were flagrant violations in the 2023 census. We also have cases like in Saranda, when he asked to register his Greek ethnicity, he was asked if he was sure because he had a business because he had property, and after he insisted, the language and faith in question were registered. There is another case where, Vasil Kraj, where the registrar was registering his father, the registrar denied registering a family member saying that he is not here. We are dealing with flagrant violations that have been accompanied in recent weeks and with a nationalist rhetoric in many media raising hypothetical threats. It is a pity that high state officials or subordinates of the administration highlight such concerns.
