Prime Minister Edi Rama

Prime Minister Edi Rama has expressed his firm opinion regarding the statement made by Josep Borrell after the event that took place in the north of Kosovo.

Rama said that there will be no alignment with the EU until a second statement addressing the problems that have occurred, in order to establish justice, a trial for the last days in Kosovo.

Also, the Albanian prime minister did not leave without mentioning the serious act of Serbia regarding the declaration of a day of mourning for the criminals killed in Kosovo.

According to Rama, with this Serbia is heroizing the engagement of a criminal group to carry out terror in the north of Kosovo.

"The EU statement is a statement that, not that it has a problem in itself as it addresses everything that was said before by Borrell, but it has a big problem, that it does not respond to the reality of the last days. And we find it impossible to align with the European Union without seeing a second statement that addresses the problem of the last few days that a Kosovo police officer was killed by a criminal group that wanted to carry out terror in the north of Kosovo, which is followed by the declaration of a day of mourning in Belgrade. For us, it is unacceptable, unjustifiable, even reprehensible because it is un-European and because it is the worst signal that Serbia could give to the region and Europe. We requested that the European Union sound the alarm to return the appropriate message that comes from the declaration of national mourning in Belgrade. Until the moment when there will be a second declaration of the EU to establish a justice, a judgment for the last days we will not align. If the second statement does what we ask, we align with the first statement. We do not remove any comma from the EU demands of Kosovo. Our line is the line of the EU and the Atlantic Community, but it is time to condemn what happenedgoat in the north of Kosovo and what followed in Belgrade with the declaration of a day of national mourning that glorifies the commitment of a criminal group to exercise terror in the north of Kosovo."
