'SASPAC' case/ Former Minister Beqaj requests summary trial

Former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, has requested a summary trial in the case known as "SASPAC".

As reported, Beqaj's request was made this Friday at today's preliminary hearing session against him and 10 co-defendants at the Criminal Court of Kosovo.

Beqaj has requested through his speech before the court that the criminal case be dismissed, or otherwise the documents be returned to SPAK for completion of the investigation. In the event that the file is transferred to court, the former minister has requested a trial with an expedited procedure.

Former Minister Ilir Beqaj is accused of the act of passive corruption of a senior official for actions carried out in his capacity as Director General of SASPAC. /CNA
