CNA on the ground/ Fuels implement the Transparency Board's order

CNA has gone to the field to monitor oil prices at various gas stations in the capital.

During the survey conducted on Monday, March 23, CNA reported that oil prices at various points ranged from 211 to 214 lek per liter, while gasoline was trading near the level of 199 lek.

This price increase reflected an inexplicable rigidity of the domestic market, as oil had suffered a drastic decline on international exchanges.

The contrast became even stronger when the comparison was made with the region, where in Kosovo and North Macedonia oil cost an average of 50 to 55 lek cheaper than in our country.

But what happens today?

CNA has again conducted monitoring at various gas stations in the capital.

What is noticeable is that the points have decided to implement the order of the Transparency Board, decided the day before.

At the points observed by CNA, it can be seen that the price of diesel today is at the limit of 203 lek/liter, while gasoline is at the limit of 175 lek/liter.

At the Board meeting, it was determined that the retail price of diesel should not exceed 203 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should not exceed 191 lek/liter.

The retail price of gasoline was set to be no more than 175 lek/liter, while the wholesale price was set to be no more than 163 lek/liter.

So, we conclude that the price of oil is falling due to the decision taken by the Transparency Board, which the government raised to prevent price abuses using the pretext of the war in the Middle East and to burden the bills in the pockets of Albanian citizens./
