"Balluku" case/ Klodiana Lala: Here's when the Constitutional

Journalist Klodiana Lala spoke about the session held today at the Constitutional Court to review Prime Minister Edi Rama's appeal regarding the measures imposed on Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

In a television appearance, Lala stated that the Council of Ministers claims that the Special Court's decision has violated its powers, while SPAK also claimed that political interference is violating its independence.

The journalist said that due to the sensitivity, the Constitutional Court is expected to issue a decision on this issue within 10 days.

"Since this is the first time this has happened. The Constitutional Court will have to interpret the Constitutional provision and clarify how the institutions should act. The Council of Ministers claimed that the court's decision was infringing on its powers, while SPAK also claimed that political interference was infringing on its independence, which should be independent and function away from political influences.

This is the first time that there has been a head-on clash. It is about the number 2 in the government, with the largest money portfolio because the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy has the largest budget. It is a clash between the majority and SPAK. Both sides are seeking to declare their strength.

"The Constitutional Court has closed the public plenary session, it has received all the arguments of the parties that were there. The questions were numerous. In my opinion, I think that the Constitutional Court will not take more than 10 days as it is about one of the most sensitive issues so far ," said journalist Lala. /CNA
