Čela passes the "ball" to Duman/ "SPAK is placed for incinerators"

Deputy Albana Vokshi addressed the chief prosecutor Olsian Çela with the question why the mayor Erion Veliaj is not investigated, in relation to the Tirana incinerator affair or abuses in tenders, while the latter has passed the SPAK "ball".

He stated that the mayors are subjects of special prosecutions and as such the SPAK decides on these issues.

"Municipal mayors are subjects of the Special Prosecutor's Office and as such are the competence of the Special Prosecutor's Office and not of the Prosecutor's Office of the General Jurisdiction, however, for the specific case, you should contact the relevant prosecutor's office to get information about the case that must be assessed by the prosecutor who investigated the matter. What decides on competence is the Special Prosecutor's Office", said Çela./ CNA
