Corruption in the municipality of Dimal / SPAK completes the investigations for

The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime based on report no. 155 dated 23.07.2020, registered criminal proceedings no. 214, of 2020 for criminal offences, "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided for by Article 259/1 of the Penal Code, "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided for by Article 244 of the Criminal Code, "Exercise of illegal influence on persons exercising public functions", provided by article 245/1 of the Criminal Code and "Abuse of duty", provided by article 248 of the Criminal Code.

After analyzing the evidence collected in the framework of this criminal proceeding and the completion of the investigations, the Special Prosecutor's Office has addressed the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with a request to send the case for trial in charge of the defendants:

1. Arben Guraj (in charge of services at the Municipality of Dimal), accused of the criminal offense of "Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions", carried out in cooperation, provided for by article 245/1/2 and 25 of K .Penal, "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided by article 259/1 of the Criminal Code, "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided for by article 244 of the Criminal Code as well as "Production and retention without hunting and sporting weapons permit", provided by article 280 of the Penal Code.

2. Altin Pali (acting director of the Urban Planning Office, Dimal Municipality), accused of the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty", committed in cooperation and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided for by articles 248 and 25 and 259/2 of the Penal Code.

3. Valentina Jançe (on duty at the time of the commission of the crime responsible for the urban development sector near the Municipality of Dimal), accused of the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty", committed in cooperation and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided by articles 248 and 25 and 259/1 of the Penal Code.

4. Agim Çunaj (in charge of IKMT at Dimal Municipality), charged with the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty", provided for by Article 248 of the Penal Code.

5. Arjan Demiri (engineer), accused of the criminal offense of "Exercising illegal influence on persons exercising public functions", provided by article 245/1 of the Penal Code.

6. Vait Koshi (manager of a private entity), accused of the criminal offense "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions", provided for by Article 244 of the Criminal Code.
