The Minister of Education Evis Kushi has announced that today she has approved the guidelines for Application and Registration Procedures in Higher Education Institutions, where there will be some innovations for the academic year 2023-2024.

Khushi points out that the reduction of rounds of registration in universities will shorten the duration of procedures for application and registration in universities.

Among other things, it informs that the new academic year will start on October 2, 2023 and the shortening of one round is due to the start of the teaching process.

After the second round, in the study programs where there are still free admission quotas, candidates who have applied to U-albania can continue to enroll directly in HEIs until all quotas are filled.

Equal application and registration procedures for all candidates with a foreign high school diploma, regardless of whether they are Albanian or foreign.

Candidates registered with foreign diplomas must have their diploma recognized and counted by April 30 of the following academic year, in order to be provided with a matriculation number before the start of the second exam season.

Reducing the number of necessary documents facilitates the procedures for registering candidates in HEI./CNA
