The government wants to hold students hostage/ Here is the new plan

The Minister of Education Evis Kushi has informed that today at the government meeting a decision was made regarding priority programs and financial support for excellent students.

Kushi announced that students who will choose priority programs such as agriculture or tourism and have an average of 8.5 will receive a scholarship equal to the minimum salary, 40 thousand new lek.

There will also be a minimum wage scholarship for excellent students who have received 10 in all exams.

Today we approved a decision that is good news for graduates and universities that want to regenerate priority programs. There will be support for excellent students.

According to the decision, we have announced a list of priority programs such as agriculture, tourism.

Students with an average of 8.5 benefit from a scholarship equal to the minimum wage, provided that after graduation they stay for three years to make their contribution to Albania.

Even excellent students should benefit from a scholarship equal to the minimum wage and those who win in international Olympiads", said Kushi.  

We remind you that some time ago, the government made a decision for medical students to hold their diplomas hostage for three years, so that after completing their education, they contribute to their country for three years.

This decision brought protests from the students who say that they will not sign any contract.
