Mega operation/ SPAK prosecutor clarifies details of how drugs were transported

SPAK prosecutor Vladimir Mara has given details of the anti-drug mega-operation in several EU countries.

Mara announced that a property investigation has been conducted for all the members of the criminal group that trafficked drugs in Turkey, Syria, Greece and Albania.

He said that luxury vehicles and money were seized during the operation.

Seizures were carried out in the Republic of Albania.

Mara explained that 30 kg of drugs were seized in Durrës, 15 kg of cocaine in Greece, 68 kg of drugs in North Macedonia and 21 kg of cocaine in Milan.

Among other things, he informed that drugs were transported by truck. The narcotics were placed in specially designed places inside the trucks, which were difficult to catch even with the scanners.

The investigation was carried out in cooperation with the Florence Prosecutor's Office. The role of Albanians has been distributor and orderer.
