The truth about Klotilda Bushka in the Veliaj trial

Today, a court hearing was held at the Special Court against the defendant, Mayor Erion Veliaj, and 28 other people as his collaborators.

What stands out is a request filed by lawyer Erik Ligori for the accused Klotilda Bushka.

Lawyer Ligori has confirmed the request for a summary trial and is requesting the case be separated, saying that the Special Court lacks jurisdiction and should be transferred to another court, since Klotilda Bushka is no longer a member of parliament.

"For the defendant Klotilda Bushka, defended by us since the preliminary investigation phase, she did not accept the accusation and described it as unsupported by evidence and facts. The judge of the preliminary hearing referred the case to trial, we have requested the dismissal of the case in that process. First of all, we confirm the request for summary trial, we request the separation of the case and the lack of subject matter jurisdiction of this court and the sending of the case to another court. We have brought a document that Bushka is no longer a deputy ," the lawyer said.

What is the truth about Klotilda Bushka?

The criminal offense committed by Klotilda Bushka was committed at the time when she was the chairwoman of the Laws Committee, not just a deputy.

Secondly, the case is closed because Klotilda Bushka has destroyed the evidence of this case, that is, of the Erion Veliaj case. Today, SPAK, that is, the prosecutors, do not have Ina Goxhaj's phone in hand, where they could discover other communications between her and Ajola Xoxa.

But they have another phone. At that time, SPAK proved how Klotilda Bushka took Ina Goxhaj's phone and gave her a newer one, destroying evidence that was directly linked to Ajola Xoxa, the wife of the mayor of Tirana.

And this criminal offense, Klotilda Bushka committed in connection with this file during the time she was chair of the Laws Committee.

Now, Bushka and her lawyer say that she is no longer an MP. So, if you kill when you are an MP, you can be tried by the GJKKO. When you are not an MP, you have to be tried by another court.

When you steal while you are a deputy, you will be tried by the Criminal Court of Kosovo, while when you steal but you are not a deputy because you have lost your mandate, you can no longer be tried by the Criminal Court of Kosovo. These are the actions of Klotilda Bushka and her legal defenders. /CNA
