Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a meeting with socialist mayors of municipalities, stated that in the coming months a fleet of vehicles will be made available to ease irrigation and the consequences of floods.

"A new fleet of vehicles that helps with cleaning canals and the necessary preparatory work for the following seasons to ease both the irrigation processes and the consequences resulting from floods. It is a project that we will implement in the coming months with significant financial support from the United Arab Emirates and based on some simple criteria, this fleet will also be allocated to the territory, putting them into use by municipalities," said Rama.

Among other things, the head of government stated that the production of firefighting equipment will also begin, which will be made available to municipalities.

"We are aware of the inherited shortcomings in the logistics related to firefighters. For this reason, we have approved a project presented by the Minister of State for the mobilization of necessary funding by utilizing the capacities of the company, which is a joint state-private company newly created in our defense ministry system. We will begin to make the necessary firefighting vehicles available to municipalities ," said Rama. /CNA
