Meeting with mayors concludes/ Rama's messages become clear

The meeting between Prime Minister Edi Rama and the socialist mayors, which was held at the Palace of Congresses, has concluded.

The meeting lasted for about two hours, while details were revealed regarding discussions at the meeting and Rama's messages to local leaders. More specifically, the head of government has allocated tasks for the coming months, where local leaders should focus on the development of the country.

Special focus has been placed on the "Mountain Package", a government initiative that aims to give a boost to development in the country's peripheral areas.

The head of government also called for increased commitment to waste management, processing and cleaning, especially in tourist areas, to enhance Albania's image in the eyes of foreigners. Meanwhile, another point that was left as a task by the prime minister was the establishment of civil emergencies at the local level.

The Socialist Party has intensified meetings with citizens and, in addition to analyzing daily affairs, the focus is also on the local elections, which will be held in 2027. /CNA
