Bardhi-Paloka negotiations fail/ The group of separatists "points the finger" at Berisha

The negotiations between Enkelejd Alibejat's group of dissidents and Sali Berisha's official PD have failed.

The group of dissidents has said that the reason why the negotiations have failed is that Berisha's group has set a condition that Sali Berisha be accepted as the chairman of the Democratic Party.

On October 10, the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party unanimously expressed its full and sincere will to find the right forms of cooperation for the local elections, starting with the entire Democratic Party and with every opposition factor.

Ne shprehim keqardhjen që në kundërshtim me zotimin publik për “bisedime pa kushte”, prevaloi interesi dhe kushti për të njohur “Statutin” e 11 Dhjetorit, duke minuar në këtë mënyrë bisedimet për të gjetur zgjidhje për zgjedhjet lokale. Anëtarët, simpatizantët dhe votuesit e Partisë Demokratike, janë të lodhur nga debati “kush është statuti në fuqi i Partisë Demokratike”. Ato kërkojnë zgjidhje për të unifikuar çdo zë opozitar përballë Edi Ramës në zgjedhje lokale. Humbja e kësaj mundësie me kokëfortësi dhe duke injoruar situatën e rëndë që po kalon Partia Demokratike, nuk është në interes të qytetarëve dhe dobëson alternativën e opozitës në zgjedhjet lokale të 14 Majit.

The continuous rejection of every proposal made by us, including the final proposal presented in writing, is indicative of the lack of sincerity and the will to find a solution. This refusal proves the premeditation of not finding a solution and putting the other party in front of the committed fact. This is evident from the fact that while the parties were in talks with each other, one side continued with unilateral acts or with public statements of some political representatives that went in the spirit of encouraging the failure of the talks between the parties.

Based on this situation, the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party has asked to inform the Presidency of the Democratic Party, in order to pave the way for the creation of all conditions for the preparation and participation of the Democratic Party in the upcoming local elections.
