The teachers have set a deadline until tomorrow for the government to meet their demands. Yesterday they declared that if the demands are not met by Wednesday, they will go on strike at 4:00 p.m.

Today, the lecturers issued a press statement, stating that this will be the first time that the lecturers will undertake such an action.

The head of the Teachers' Union, Sandër Kovvaci, said that the protest will be symbolic, and the participation will be limited due to the small environment where this strike will be held, which will be an internal environment of one of the universities.

"It is symbolic, because the environment will also be small. There can be 10 lecturers. The location is a secret, tomorrow it will be clear. The lecturers are from different universities. We have made all our calls. We are waiting for feedback. There are still no signals from the Ministry of Education. They have used up their negotiations, which are mostly promises," said Kovaçi./ CNA.al
