At the meeting of the CEC, where the approval of the ballot is being discussed, there were debates between the representatives of the seal group and the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi.

The representative of the seal group, Indrit Sefa, wanted to know why the name of the chairman is missing from the "Together We Win" coalition.

Celibashi has clarified that this belongs to the desire of the mayor himself whether or not he wants to decide the name.

He said that the main principle in the law when it comes to is the clarity of the voters to make their choice. According to him, all this depends on the desire of the coalition itself, whether it wants to or not.

" And what makes the request of any electoral subject legitimate regarding the ballot paper is the clarity of its data as it should be and clear for the voters. And the second is if the data of another subject is like that which confuses the voters about the subject. There is no order to set the name of the coalition leader.

In the past it was their own agreement and choice. The coalition agreement is a new concept established by the amendments to the Electoral Code. Previously, it was an election determined by the will of the coalition parties. So, it was a clear request of the electoral subject of the coalition to decide on a name of one of the leaders of the coalition parties.

To understand that there is no necessity, there is logic and it makes sense, because in the case of the coalition there are at least 2 parties and it remains in their assessment the legitimacy of the interest in the content of the ballot regarding their subject.

It is entirely the legitimate interest of the one related to the name or other data of the subject," said Celibashi, leaving it entirely up to the representative of the Freedom Party to decide whether he wants the name of the president on the ballot or not," said Celibashi. / CNA.al
