The election of Donald Trump to head the American Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has not been well received in Serbia.

"Media Informer" has published a photo of John Ratcliff, who appears doing the eagle with two hands and calls this a scandal.

Further, the online media writes that Ratcliffe is known for his strong ties with the Albanian community in America.

"In 2016, Ratcliffe participated and spoke as a special guest at the Economic Forum of the Albanian Diaspora in the USA, held in New York and organized by the American-Albanian Network", writes Informer.

In some other photos, Ratcliffe appears next to Pandeli Majko, when he was the Minister of Diaspora, and Fatmir Mediu, the former Minister of Defense.

Also, Ratcliffe met with members of the Assembly of Kosovo. Even when he was appointed Director of National Intelligence in the first Trump administration, Ramush Haradinaj welcomed his choice.

"Ratcliffe is very informed about Kosovo and events in our region", Haradinaj wrote at the time.

Ratcliffe is a close ally of Trump. Most recently, he co-chaired the Center for American Security, a think tank that advocated for Trump's positions, and advised the former Republican president on national security policies during his 2024 campaign.
