Survey/ Cost of living, the biggest problem in the country

During the period 22 September - 02 October 2024, Datacentrum and Barometer - Euronews Albania has asked face to face 1000 citizens throughout Albania regarding the main problems in the country and their solution by political parties.

Asked by the Barometer about the three main problems in the country, 46.1% of citizens said that the main problem in the country is the cost of living, 39.5% of them emigration, 34.7% corruption and 27.8% of them said unemployment. Then the level of crime in the country, health, education, aging of the population, etc. are listed in the lowest percentage.

Compared to four months ago, the most important problems in the country are the same, but they have changed their order. Emigration in May 2024 was perceived by 54.8% of citizens as the main problem in the country, while in September 2024 it ranks second as a problem identified by 39.55% of citizens. The same can be said about corruption, since the fourth problem listed by 26.9% of citizens in May 2024, in September 2024 it is listed as the third problem by 34.7% of them.
