Ilir Meta's lawyer, Kujtim Cakrani, spoke to reporters after leaving the SPAK premises. In his statements, Cakrani stated that according to him, Meta should not have been arrested and that the whole incident happened shortly after the change of measure for the Democrat leader Berisha, so that the country would remain without opposition.

Cakrani, for his part as a lawyer, emphasized that the issue must be dismantled legally, as it is not just a political event.

The lawyer also commented on the manner of Meta's arrest, which he described as a bandit robbery.

"Mr. Meta has been President and Speaker of the Assembly in difficult moments. He is convinced of the way in which what is happening to him is being done. He was robbed in a bandit manner. The prosecution says that he did not give the order. The order was given by the autocrat, the autocrat of Tirana. These are the statistics, not me. The issue is not only political, but also legal.
