A 42-year-old accused of being a member of a criminal group for the trafficking of narcotics was caught and arrested in the city of Laçi with the aim of extradition to Italy. 

FAST Albania, in cooperation with the Kurbin Police Station, based on the information exchanged between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, for a wanted citizen, has organized and finalized the police operation coded "Next" where the 42-year-old with the initials ED was caught. resident of Kurbin.

This citizen was declared an international wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Milan has issued an international arrest warrant, for the criminal offense "Criminal group in the field of drug trafficking", provided by the Italian Criminal Code.

The 42-year-old is accused of participating in a criminal organization composed of Albanian citizens, which operated mainly in Milan and aimed at international cocaine trafficking. The members of the organization had at their disposal several apartments in Milan, which they used for their criminal activity.      

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, continues the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Italy./ CNA
