From Ksamil to Shengjin, 15 vessels are blocked

Another 15 vessels were blocked from Ksamil to Shengjin.

12 vessels have been blocked by the Border Police of Vlorë district, while 3 vessels have been blocked by the Border Police of Durrës district.  

The blocked vehicles are respectively 6 Jet Skis, 5 speedboats, 3 boats and 1 dinghy.

The violations found and the fines imposed are as follows:

Violations found: navigation in a prohibited area, non-registration of the ownership of the vessel and lack of documentation on board.       

In Dhërmi, a Jet Ski boat was blocked and its driver was fined 10,000 lek for sailing in a prohibited area.

In Palasa, Qeparo, Dhërmi, Himarë, Ksamil and Karaburun, 2 Jet Skis, 5 speedboats, 3 boats and 1 raft were blocked and each of the drivers of these vessels was fined 10,000 lek for lack of documentation on board.

3 Jet Ski boats have been blocked in Shengjin. 2 of the leaders were each punished with an administrative measure of 100,000 lek, for sailing in a prohibited area, at Rana e Hedhun, while the other leader was punished with an administrative measure of 20,000 lek, for not registering the ownership of the vessel within the legal deadline.

One of the vehicles blocked for navigation in the prohibited area, at Rana e Hedhun, was filmed and published on social networks.

The Border Police appeals to all boat users to follow the rules for the use of boats and to respect the designated areas for sailing with these boats, in order for them and other vacationers to be safe and calm./ CNA
