A 64-year-old Albanian who was wanted for 12 years has fallen into the hands of the Italian police.

According to foreign media, Albanian Fasli Qibini has been sentenced to over 22 years in prison for international drug trafficking.

According to investigators, he managed and brokered the heroin traffic between his country of origin, Greece, Turkey and southern Italy, where he did business with the Di Lauro clan and then with the "Nardielli", a criminal group from the Oplontine side.

Fasli Qibini was walking in Corso Secondigliano this Friday afternoon, but without knowing that he was surrounded and under surveillance.

The 64-year-old did not give up the Christmas holidays to hug his wife and son again. 

The apparent increase in family expenses brought attention to the case in police uniforms. 

During the holidays, his wife and son did not give up buying cigarettes. Thus, the military intensified their surveillance and patrolled the neighborhood with ever greater attention. Qibini went to buy cigarettes by himself yesterday. But he didn't have time to light the cigarette as the police arrested him. He is now locked up in Secondigliano prison./ CNA
