AKU "lands" with fines in Korça/ 20 thousand grains of eggs

The inspection body of the National Food Authority, during the monitoring in the Korçë district in the units of trading of meat, chicken and egg products, has found several subjects in violation of food safety, for trading unsafe food, in the absence of traceability, labeling and expiration date.

From the controls carried out in the subjects with the initials "E", "HE", "AC", "Ll", "ZH" and "KF", it was found that food unsafe for consumption was placed on the market, the sale of egg products without the seal relevant and unlabeled, lack of a traceability system, trading of food products with an expired use-by date, as well as exercising the activity without the relevant license.

For the detected violations, the AKU inspection body imposed 11 administrative measures, fines worth 2,100,000 new alleks, and the amount of about 20,000 grains of eggs and other food products unsafe for consumption was blocked.

The National Food Authority assures consumers that it will continue with monitoring and controls throughout the country in accordance with the law for guaranteeing food safety and health protection.
