"What is happening in Durrës is criminal"/ MP publishes footage

Democratic Party MP Igli Cara has published footage from Durrës beach, which appears to be polluted.

Cara writes that what is happening in Durrës is criminal and Durrës beach is left to be told only as a fairy tale.

The Democrat says that funds have been wasted to alienate the public beach. Cara says that a national asset cannot be allowed to be irreversibly damaged just to serve the government.

The misuse of public funds to alienate the historic beach of Albanians is pure corruption by Rama, Sako & CO! Without a doubt, this is not the only project that has corruption as its main theme, violating the identity of a unique city, such as Durrës!

It is unfortunate when you see how a beach disappears. And this is actually a criminal act. To disappear and transform a beach, wasting tens of millions of euros, even those of Albanians, is truly a crime. About 10 months ago, together with architect Entela Koja, we filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office. We have not received any answer yet. And the question is: Does justice work? Is this acceptable? I am not here today as a politician. I am above all as a citizen of Durrës and I cannot sit and remain silent when I see this environmental massacre. We cannot irreversibly damage such a national asset, which God has blessed us with this nature, simply and only to serve the pockets of today's rulers and Rama's friends, starting here at Alabbari, who has taken thousands and thousands of square meters in the Agip area. "An issue that above all has to do with the massive corruption of this government and this municipality ," Cara says in the video.
