Is the Albanian mafia connected to the explosives they planted in their car? Italian journalist speaks

Italian journalist Sigfrido Ranucci spoke this evening about the assassination attempt that took place a few days ago, where his vehicle was blown up with explosives.

Invited to the show "Now with Erla Mëhillin", he was asked whether or not he suspects the Albanian mafia of being responsible for the assassination. The Rai journalist said that there is no indication that the Albanian mafia is connected to the assassination.

"I don't believe that the Albanian mafia has anything to do with the assassination. The anti-mafia in Italy conducted an investigation into the Albanian mafia, but I don't know the details. At this moment I have no element to say after so long, because it would reopen that topic. I don't believe that the Albanian mafia is so idiotic and has no clear idea. It could have to do with investigations in other countries. At this moment I have no element. I have no reason to link it to this Albanian,"  said Ranucci. /CNA
