Albanian youth are not interested in politics. Asked by Barometer in Euronews Albania, 70.5% of people who never watch political shows are in the 18-24 age group.

54.2% of those who do not follow political shows are in the 25-34 age group, 38.9% are in the 35-44 age group; 20.2% are 45-54 years old; 18.1% are 55-64 years old and only 13.1% are 65-75 years old.

Likewise, the 18-24 age group accounts for only 2.7% of those who watch political shows every day and 4.2% for the 25-34 age group. Meanwhile, the age group that dominates those who watch political shows every day is 55-64 years old with 25%.

While only 10% of young people are among those who watch political shows several times a week.

But what attracts the most attention is that when we ask them if they use social networks to be informed about politics, 61% of Albanians answer that they have never used them.

The findings are from the Euronews Albania Barometer, carried out during the period October 28-November 7, 2022, conducted by MRB and Data Centrum, at the national level with 1000 face-to-face interviews./ Euronews
