More than 30 drivers of agricultural vehicles who protested today about the lack of market and imports from the countries of the region, have been faced with strict and, according to the farmers, unfair measures by the Korca police.

The farmers were fined by the police with administrative measures of 1 million old lek, for occupying the road surface. The farmers contested these fines saying that the tractors and plows did not occupy any road surface or block the main road, as they were parked outside the white line.

Farmers demand the cancellation of these hefty fines as they are bankrupting not only agricultural products, but today they received another blow with the high fines of 1 million lek.

"At the request of the farmers of the Korça District, we organized a protest with a road block with agricultural tools. The farmers' demand is for the injustices done to today's farmers by the government.
