Incinerators, from scandal to scandal/ Revealed other details, “ball” in the field of SPAK

One of the most scandalous concessions in these 30 years of democracy in our country, for the construction of 3 incinerators, where only the concession contracts amount to 178 million euros, while the real value is expected to go around 430 million euros, for which continues to come to light new scandals.

Media, such as BIRN, Voice of America, CNA.al, to some extent even TPZ, have been strong denouncers of this affair, publishing facts and documents, tat should be a strong alarm bell for the justice system in Albania.

But it already seems that the ?ball? is in the field of justice. Beyond any scandal, regarding the procedure of granting the concession, and the fact that the same persons are hiding behind them, with chain companies going as far as the Netherlands, it seems that the scandals related to the concessionaire of incinerators, for which he was arrested and imprisoned a former minister of the Rama government, have no end.

Sources for CNA.al inform that the prosecution is investigating the incinerator companies for the concealment of VAT. The investigation for VAT fraud has been launched earlier by the prosecution, for some companies, where CNA.al has learned that among them are incinerator companies, while it is suspected of fraud, amounting to up to 4 billion Lek.

One of the scandals uncovered by previous investigations, is that some companies that have been caught in tax evasion have been convicted, but not yet the owners of incinerator companies. But now it seems that it is SPAK, the institution that has the touchstone to complete the investigation of any scandal related to this concession, also called the corrupt affair of the century.
