UEFA has unveiled its new women's football strategy - 'Unstoppable' - to continue the game's incredible growth with the aim of making it the most played team sport among women and girls in every country in Europe and increasing the number of championships completely professional.

The "Unstoppable" strategy, developed in collaboration with football stakeholders across Europe, defines UEFA's priorities to achieve a vibrant and sustainable future for the next generation of players, coaches, referees, volunteers and fans. This strategy launched today outlines UEFA's vision for the game and the desire to build on the success of its strategy launched in 2019, Time for Action.

This strategy sets out four long-term objectives for 2030:
– To make football the most played team sport among women and girls in every country in Europe, developing pathways for players, coaches and referees as well as opportunities in grassroots football
– To make Europe the home of players the world's best, with six all-professional championships and 5,000 professional players across the continent.
– Making football the most sustainable and investable sport for women, with record-breaking UEFA competitions.
– To ensure that women's football is celebrated for its unique values ??and community, where everyone believes they can have a place.

Over the period 2024-2030, €1 billion of UEFA's competition revenue and investment will be dedicated to the game through senior and youth national team competitions, club competitions, distributions to member clubs and federations and activities developmental.

Regarding the presentation of this strategy, UEFA President Aleksander ?eferin said: "The "Unstoppable" strategy is our road map to lay the foundations for a sustainable future, fully exploiting the potential of women's and girls' football. As we enter this new era, we must continue with the same passion that has brought us this far. Our commitment to this cause remains as strong as ever. Our mission is simple: to help women's football gain a prominent place in the European sports community."

Nadine Kessler, director of women's and girls' football at UEFA, said : "European girls' football has never been in a better place. National teams and clubs are shining thanks to huge investments, improved competition structures and thousands of new professional opportunities for players. Women's and girls' football in Europe has become a sport for the masses, attracting an ever-growing fan base and partners who contribute wholeheartedly to its growth. It is our promise to continue to invest and take the game forward together, with all member federations, leagues, clubs, players, fans and partners as part of our journey – because women's football is 'Unstoppable'."

The "Unstoppable" strategy is supported by some of the most popular players in Europe and referees who share UEFA's vision and ambition for the future of women's football: Jill Scott (winner of the European Championship with England), Aitana Bonmatí (Winner of the Ball of Gold 2023 and 2024), Ada Hegerberg (all-time top scorer in the Women's Champions League),
Lauren James (Chelsea and England star), Giulia Gwinn (Bayern Munich and Germany star) and Tess Olofsson (Sweden) , all are part of the strategy clip./ CNA
