European play off/ Albania women lose 9-0 and are eliminated


The Albanian girls' national team played the second match against Norway this evening at the "Ullevaal Stadion" stadium. The valuable meeting for the first playoff round of the European Championship "Switzerland 2025" ended with the victory of Norway with the result 9-0.

In the challenge played in Oslo, Grima's girls found themselves at a disadvantage in the 18th minute, when the Norwegians scored with Leonhardsen. In the 29th minute, the locals lead the numbers to 2-0 with the goal scored by Naalsund, while in the 44th minute, Hegerberg triples the score. The loss of three goals in the first half seems to have psychologically affected the red and black representative of the girls, who finds it difficult to react properly. At the end of the first half, Grima makes the first substitution, fielding Armera Tukaj instead of Alma Hilaj.

The Reds conceded six more goals in the second half, while Leonhardsen (x3), Gaupset, Reiten and Boe Risa scored for the Norwegians.

The match ends with the score 9-0 in favor of Norway. The girls' national team's journey to the playoffs of the "Switzerland 2025" European Championship ends here. Despite the elimination, the red and black girls have made a positive journey. They initially dominated group C5 securing first place thanks to three wins over Estonia (x2) and Luxembourg and then advanced to the first round of the play-offs.

Thanks to the success achieved, the Albanian women's representative in the next edition of the UEFA Nations League will play in the B League.
