He excelled in the World Cup, Vozinha joins a new team

Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha will continue his career with Chilean team Colo Colo.

Club president Anibal Mosa confirmed that the 40-year-old has reached an agreement and will soon travel to Chile for medical examinations and an official presentation at the Monumental stadium.

Vozinha had been a free agent since June 30, after his contract with Chaves in the Portuguese second division expired. He gained a lot of attention during the World Cup, where he was one of the protagonists of Cape Verde's historic debut.

The goalkeeper was also included in the best World Cup lineup chosen by FIFA fans, after keeping a clean sheet against Spain and taking the challenge with Argentina to the round of 16 in extra time.

Anibal Mosa stated that his performances at the World Cup fully justify the transfer, admitting that his approach also has significant marketing value for Colo Colon.
