Yasir Asani will continue to be part of Esteghlal for the new season, after reaching an agreement with the Iranian club.

A few days ago it was reported that cooperation between the parties had been terminated, but recent developments have changed the situation.

The Albanian national team striker has decided to return to the Iranian champions and extend his contract.

Esteghlal paid around 850,000 euros to sign Asan from Gwangju last summer. Last season, the 30-year-old made 29 appearances in all competitions and scored 13 goals.

Asani has not played since the end of February, when football activity in Iran was suspended due to the conflict in the Middle East. With the new deal, the Albanian striker confirms his continuity with Esteghlal.
