From rivals to teammates? Vozinha could play with Messi

David Beckham closely followed the match between Argentina and Cape Verde in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, held in Miami.

The Inter Miami president was impressed by the performance of goalkeeper Vozinha, who made several important saves against Argentina and Lionel Messi. The 40-year-old goalkeeper only surrendered in extra time after a match in which he was among his team's most outstanding players.

Vozinha is currently a free agent, having finished his contract with Chaves in the Portuguese Second Division. Inter Miami are reportedly considering a move to MLS. Lionel Messi has publicly praised the Cape Verde goalkeeper's performance.

There is also interest in Vozinha from South America, with two Brazilian clubs monitoring his situation. Meanwhile, several European teams have also begun to take an interest in the future of one of the most talked-about goalkeepers of this World Cup.
