Preparations for Euro U-21, laying of new carpet begins at “Air Albania”

Works to improve the terrain at the "Air Albania" stadium are progressing at a rapid pace, as part of the Federation's ongoing investments to modernize the country's sports infrastructure.

After completing the process of removing the existing grass and carpet, as well as interventions to improve the field's foundation, the laying of the new carpet has already begun. In the next phase of the project, grass planting will also be carried out, giving the stadium a playing surface of the highest standards.

This investment is part of the AFF's strategy to improve sports infrastructure throughout the country, with the aim of guaranteeing modern grounds and optimal conditions for the development of football matches and activities.

The "Air Albania" Stadium is one of the four stadiums selected to host the final matches of the 2027 U-21 European Championship. For this reason, investments and interventions in this facility are of particular importance, aiming to meet the highest UEFA standards and provide the highest quality experience for teams and fans.
