The Confederation of African Football has made an unprecedented decision by stripping Senegal of their championship title two months after their triumph on the field.

The African title has officially passed to Morocco following a decision by the Appeals Board related to the temporary abandonment of the field by Senegalese players.

The incident occurred as a protest against a penalty awarded to the Moroccans, which was missed by Brahim Diaz, but which punished Senegal with a 3-0 defeat on the table.

Senegalese Federation Secretary General Abdoulaye Sow reacted sharply, describing the confederation as "rotten" and vowing that the trophy would not leave the country. According to him, the victory was achieved on sporting merit and no administrative decision can undo what was achieved on the field of play.

The Senegalese federation has confirmed that it will take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to seek justice. Local officials assured fans that the legal battle has just begun and that they are communicating with all international factors to block this decision.

This development has caused a wave of outrage across the football world, questioning the integrity of decision-making in African football.
