Epic upset! Sporting qualifies for quarterfinals, surrenders to Bodo/Glimt

Sporting Lisbon have pulled off one of the most epic upsets in Champions League history, eliminating Norwegians Bodo/Glimt after a 5-0 win in the second leg to advance 5-3 on aggregate.

After losing 3-0 in the first leg, the Portuguese managed to overturn everything in extra time, qualifying for the quarterfinals for the first time since 1963/64.

The match started with high pressure from the "Lions", with Trincão missing two golden chances early on. However, it was defender Gonçalo Inácio who opened the scoring with a header from a corner kick in the 30th minute.

The Norwegians had their golden chance with Bjortuft, but the ball hit the post twice in an unbelievable manner.

In the second half, Sporting increased the pace and in the 61st minute, Pedro Gonçalves narrowed the overall difference to just one goal after an assist from Luis Suárez.

As the match drew to a close, a VAR review awarded a penalty for handball by Bjorkan, which Suárez converted to level the score at 3-3.

In extra time, Sporting did not stop. Maximiliano Araujo turned everything around by scoring the fourth goal, while the talented Rafael Nel sealed the score 5-0 in the final minutes.
