Two new football fields have been inaugurated in the city of Gjirokastra, an investment carried out by the Football Federation in cooperation with the Municipality of Gjirokastra, as part of projects for the development of sports infrastructure and the support of football in the community.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of the Football Federation, Armand Duka, and the Mayor of Gjirokastra, Flamur Golemi, who emphasized the importance of this investment in creating better conditions for young people and for the development of football in the city.
President Duka praised the ceremony as a testament to successful cooperation and a shared vision for the development of football in the country. The head of Albanian football emphasized the commitment to continuous investments in infrastructure and improving conditions for young people throughout the country.
"I would like to thank all of you who are here, for your presence today, for creating this fantastic atmosphere not only for me and the mayor, but for everyone in Gjirokastra. This ceremony that we are holding here today is not simply to inaugurate, or to show the fields, but a message that we have for the game of football. A message that we have that we are all together in a common denominator. This is a game that must be developed, which is a beautiful game, which does not only have competition. Our projects will continue to invest in infrastructure. I wish that just as we have fantastic cooperation with the Municipality of Gjirokastra, with the Mayor in particular and with the entire Municipality that has supported the game of football, that loves it, that has collaborated with us in investing in this facility, I think it is fantastic for the time in Gjirokastra. To have such cooperation throughout the country to bring you and your peers the best possible playing conditions", - said President Duka.
The Mayor of Gjirokastra, Flamur Golemi, praised the inauguration of the two fields as an important investment for young people who aim to pursue their dream of football. He emphasized the role of sport as a key tool for the education and healthy development of children and the community.
"Thank you my friend, not only are we inaugurating two fields that are very necessary for those who aspire to become footballers and dream of this. Football and the game is a discipline to raise our children, the families of this city, the children of the entire Gjirokastër district, in a healthy way," said Flamur Golemi, the mayor of Gjirokastër.
