"Drama" for the famous club, from the Champions League it goes down to the "play out" for the first time in history

Copenhagen has written a "black page" in its history, as for the first time since the 1999-2000 season it has been left out of the "play-off" stage for the Danish championship title.

In the final match of the regular season, the capital's team suffered a shocking 1-2 home defeat to Randers, being punished with a penalty in the 102nd minute.

This loss left the team in 7th place with just 29 points, ending an impressive streak of 26 consecutive years among the top contenders.

This failure comes as a paradox, given Copenhagen's positive performance in the Champions League group stage this season, where they remained in the race for qualification until the final week.

However, not all is lost in terms of Europe, as the Danish championship's regulations allow the winner of the play-out stage to play a final with the fourth-place play-off for a ticket to the Conference League qualifiers.
