Capital derby/ Tirana seeks turnaround, Partizani for continuity

This Sunday's derby between Tirana and Partizan will not be a derby like all the others.

The two main teams of the capital face off, but this season both are far from the usual expectations. Tirana is coming off a 6-2 loss to Dinamo, while Partizan is coming off a 1-0 victory. In the first match of the season, Tirana won, in its only victory so far.

The statistics of both teams are not what we usually see from Partizan and Tirana.

Partizan is the second team with the least ball possession in the Super League, averaging 44.6% (only Bylisi has less). Also, with 76.3% correct passes, Partizan makes more mistakes than any other team in the possession phase.

On the other hand, Tirana is the team that is conceding the most shots on goal in the entire championship, around 12.5 per match, double that of Teuta, which is conceding the least. Tirana ranks third in terms of shots on goal percentage with 37.6%, while Partizan is last with only 21.8%.

Both teams have good percentages in defensive duels, as both are over 60%. However, these figures are far from the standard that Partizani and Tirana usually set, and the situation requires maximum attention to avoid the risk of a failed season.

In the special atmosphere of the "Air Albania" stadium, the tension and intensity of this derby are expected to be the center of attention, on an evening that could mark the turning point for one of the teams.
