Chaos in the First Division, eight coaches fired

The 2025–2026 season in the First Division is being characterized by a high number of coaching changes. After week 14, eight resignations or dismissals have occurred, setting an average of one coach leaving every 1.75 weeks.

Recently, Shpëtim Duro left Besa, a team that is changing coaches for the third time this season. Kukësi has also undergone two changes on the bench and is currently led by a temporary staff.

The departures have started after the second week with Emiljano Çela and have continued almost every match week. Among the other names that have left are Erjon Xhafa to Lushnja, Ardian Mema to Pogradec, Sedat Pajaziti from Kukësi, Stefano Senigagliesi from Laçi, Besmir Shabani from Luftëtari and Bledar Devolli from Kukësi. Some of them have managed more than one team during this season.

The situation shows a championship with high mobility in terms of technique and with a strong need for stability.
