Strong emotions from Canada/ Lara Colturi closes Giant Slalom in 23rd place amid numerous race interruptions

Today, on the challenging World Cup track in the Giant Slalom discipline, Lara Colturi ranked 23rd, in an unusual and extremely difficult race, which was interrupted several times due to severe weather conditions.

The storm, strong wind and low visibility created extraordinary difficulties, making the pace of the race fragmented and the pressure on the athletes even greater.

However, Lara showed composure, focus and iron character, returning to the start after each interruption and fighting hard at each gate. In an extremely strong competition, Alice Robinson recorded the best time and was declared the winner of the Giant Slalom.

Despite the first line that cost her several hundredths and the difficult pace to regain after extended breaks, Colturi managed to maintain a solid performance and finish among the top 30 skiers in the world, a valuable result for a 19-year-old athlete who is growing race after race. /CNA
