"Artists of the Future"/ Students at "Prenk Jakova" School

An exhibition of paintings by 8th and 9th grade students from Shkodra opened at the “Prenkë Jakova” high school of arts. This exhibition, which is being held for the second year in a row, says director Anton Kaftalli, in addition to highlighting painting talents, also aims to encourage students to choose the “Prenkë Jakova” school next year.

"We started last year and are continuing with the activity again. Exhibition by young painters from the 8th and 9th grades of the city and outside the city. Here are 9 classes that have brought paintings. It is clear that it is a promising generation. We have thought that these two years we will bring them to their home. They have seen all the classes, have become familiar with the paintings and have seen everything in the school. Not everyone is informed about the competitions for the work that is done at the school, so their arrival also serves to receive more accurate information about the school if they want to be here in the 10th grade next year," said Kaftalli.

During the exhibition, several awards were also given for the best works in painting, drawing, textiles and sculpture. Some of the students who were declared winners share their emotions.

"I have presented some xhubleta which are part of the Albanian language subject. The aim is to freely express our thoughts, which we can express in art. I have chosen the painting and I hope you liked it. This is the red xhubleta, which is characteristic of the North. I have more, but I only brought 2 of them here. Our paintings and works have turned out beautiful and I hope you like them", said the student.

"I feel proud because I am pursuing something that I really like and I hope to continue it. I have brought a calm nature. I have been painting since I was little and this is also a way of calming down, relaxing," said the student.

The works of the students who participated in this exhibition were appreciated by the teachers of the "Prenkë Jakova" school, encouraging them to continue the beautiful path of art./ CNA
