Elections in 5 municipalities/ Celibashi: Counting with AI ends on Monday at lunchtime

The head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, declared today that the counting of votes from this Sunday's elections in 5 municipalities in the country will be completed by Monday lunchtime at the latest.

Regarding a possible deadline, Celibashi stated that there will be an innovation in Tepelena, as the counting will be carried out through Artificial Intelligence.

"The maximum time for the counting process in all 5 municipalities will be the end of the counting process by tomorrow's lunchtime. If the participation is the same as in 2023, we will most likely finish the counting process by midday on Monday. We have cameras installed on every table that film the counting process. What we have done is that these readings, filming through a program based on AI will automatically read the ballot paper. So this system will understand who was voted for. The result comes automatically to the CEC without waiting for the tabulation of the result by the members of the counting groups", - said Celibashi. /CNA
