"Participation is 2.42%"/ Celibashi: Problem with quorum and telephone

The head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, shared today some important data regarding the election process in 5 municipalities in the country.

In a press conference, Celibashi said that in total for all municipalities, participation is 2.42%.

Celibashi also spoke about two problems, the lack of quorum in some areas and telephone network coverage, while adding that they are finding solutions.

The Chief Commissioner stated that so far it can be said that the process is normal and without problems.

"In general, the process has started normally. 81% of the voting centers opened at 7 am and 19% opened between 7 and 8 am. Regarding the composition of the commissions, 34% of the commissions have 7 members, 18% have 6, 29% have 5 and 19% have 4. Only in 3 voting centers was there a lack of quorum, but communications enabled voting. Up to this point, no problems have been reported regarding the start of the process. No problems reported for PEI. 100% of the voting centers with operators. Identification is being carried out 100% with equipment. Due to the lack of telephone network coverage, we do not have real-time transmission in 18 voting centers, but we are still receiving information. Regarding participation, up to this point, it is 2.42% in total in all municipalities", said Celibashi. /CNA
